Brief History of the Museum: In 1964 Tarcisio Higuera, a typographer by profession, founded the Museum of Graphic Arts of the National Printing House of Colombia on the occasion of the centenary of the first publication of the Official Gazette. When the Printing Office moved to its headquarters in 2001, the Museum closed until its reopening in 2010. The Museum shows the evolution of graphic arts in Colombia through its permanent collection made up of printing machines, many of which were used in the Printing Office until recently, stamps, bills and old forms, among other curiosities of the graphic arts trade.
